Greetings,

On behalf of the board of directors and staff, I would like to thank those of you who attended our summer Policy Picnics. We were happy to see more than 200 members.

The timing for the events was perfect as our action-packed federal policy initiatives are in full swing. Your feedback and insights are vital as we continue to provide direction to our congressional delegation and administration officials. They truly care what dairy farmers think and feel – let’s take full advantage of this opportunity.

You may have noticed our recent email surveys and social media polls. These are extremely helpful to our legislative team as we represent your interests. We need your input and advice as items pop up. Learn more about this on page 3.

DBMMC has always prided itself on the fact that we visit your farms at least once a year to understand your needs. You are extremely important to us, which is why we provide many opportunities to gather together such as the Policy Picnics and other member meetings. Interaction is an important part of building consensus and defining achievable outcomes.

Let’s face it, our dairy community has many organizations who have the best of intentions. Unfortunately, the best of intentions doesn’t ensure outcomes … collaboration and leadership does. DBMMC is making a real difference for the dairy community’s future.

Your board and staff are committed to doing whatever is necessary to ensure we are successful. Please stay tuned and, most importantly, stay involved!

My best,

Tim
