DBMMC moves up on Hoard’s Dairyman Top Cooperatives list

Every year since 1992, Hoard’s Dairyman reports the top 50 cooperatives list. For 2016, DBMMC moved up a spot to No. 5 on this list, representing 9.597 billion pounds of milk. On this year’s list, DBMMC was the only co-op in the top 10 to move up a spot.

DBMMC has been in the top 10 on this list since making No. 9 in 2013. In 2014, the co-op made a large jump to the No. 6 spot, which we held through 2015.

“The co-op was founded in 2010 by farmers who decided they needed something more from their cooperative and more control over where their money was spent,” said Scott Munes, director of membership development. “We continue to grow because farmers see value in what we offer. They value the effective leadership on issues that affect them. We always have, and will continue to, listen to our members and deliver on what they ask of us.”
