From Edge & Michael Torrey Associates 

Michael Torrey Associates, Edge’s Washington, D.C.-based government affairs consultant, welcomed Cassandra Kuball to the team in May. She will help provide guidance and representation to Edge along with other clients on a variety of agriculture and food policy issues. 

Kuball brings more than a decade of experience in food and agriculture issues advocacy work, which is critical in a time when the industry is witnessing significant changes.  

Most recently, she served as a vice president of public affairs at Edelman, a public relations and marketing firm, where she provided counsel to the firm's clients in the commodities, supply chain, agribusiness and global trade sectors. Prior to that role, Kuball led successful industry-wide coalitions and directed association programs on international trade and biotechnology at the Corn Refiners Association. 

Kuball has an extensive background in food and agriculture policy advocacy, having started her career working with the U.S. dairy checkoff program and more recently having led the U.S. Food & Agriculture Dialogue for Trade, a coalition of more than 200 food and agriculture organizations, through the renegotiation of NAFTA. Throughout her career, Kuball has stayed deeply rooted in food and agriculture, from working on dairy farm in the Central Valley of California to learning more about larger-scale farming to serving the U.S. dairy processing community in the global export market. 

Kuball received her master's degree in international commerce and policy from the George Mason University School of Public Policy and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities. She grew up on her family’s dairy farm in southern Minnesota and proudly served the state’s dairy community as a Princess Kay of the Milk Way Finalist.
