Edge Dairy Farmer Cooperative will host its annual meeting this month in Madison, Wis., during the Dairy Strong conference at Monona Terrace. Members are encouraged to attend the meeting, scheduled from 1:30-3:30 p.m. on Jan. 19.

Edge prides itself on amplifying its members’ voice in Washington and beyond. This meeting is a great opportunity for members to learn more about the organization’s efforts – both from the past year and moving forward. It also presents members an opportunity to visit with other members and staff. They are encouraged to voice their thoughts, concerns and ideas for the future of the organization and industry as a whole.

Beyond hearing about the business of the organization, Edge is excited to have some esteemed industry guests sharing their expertise on various topics relative to the future of dairy.

Michael Torrey, who helps Edge lobby in Washington, D.C., will provide an update on the status in the nation’s capital.

Also sharing insights will be Dr. Marin Bozic, a nationally respected ag economist who serves as an adviser on Edge’s board of directors. Dr. Bozic will provide an update to Edge members on the latest in Federal Milk Marketing Orders (FMMO) reform, as well as an update from the FMMO task force that Edge participates in.

As Edge enters the new year, it looks to its members for input and guidance. The cooperative prides itself on amplifying the voice of its members. Come to the annual meeting to contribute your voice to the conversation!
