The age-old saying “Change is the only constant” certainly rings true now more than ever for our team at Edge. Recently, we have said goodbye to several colleagues who have taken exciting opportunities to advance their careers.
In March, former Director of Government Affairs John Holevoet went back into private legal practice, and last month, our marketing and digital communications manager, Joanna Guza, followed a lifelong dream to become a farm broadcaster. Finally, our director of corporate relations, Nicole Barlass, will be leaving next month to run the family businesses.
While we will miss them dearly, our friends are never truly gone. All will remain associated with us in smaller roles.
As is usually the case when an organization says goodbye to familiar faces, it welcomes new ones. I am beyond thrilled to announce that our new managing director, Jeremy Henkels, has officially started with the organization. His expertise in organizational leadership is already helping us to streamline how we operate.
We are also excited to announce we are bringing on board a new marketing and events manager, director of corporate relations and senior coordinator of administrative services. We look forward to introducing these individuals to you in the coming months.
Dairy has become a rapidly growing and changing space in recent years, and it is important for Edge to mirror that in our practices. We must constantly look toward the future. While we don’t hold a crystal ball, anticipating what lies around the corner can help us prepare and will truly allow us to amplify your voice — the voice of milk — in Washington, D.C. and beyond.
